Why the Atomic Bombing Wasn't Justified
There are many reasons to why the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki weren't justified. The main reason why it wasn't justified is because the U.S. never actually told Japan that they were going to drop the bombs on them nor told them what the short and long term effects would be on their country. This is the main reason because Japan probably would have surrendered right then and there instead of dragging the war on, resulting in the dropping of the bombs. There are more reasons to explain why the bombings weren't justified. One minor reason is because they destroyed many innocent villages all over the country. Also in destroying these villages they claimed the lives of over 200,000 people, many of which were civilians. Last of all it wasn't justified because the bombs didn't just get Japan to surrender, but also had a major effect on the country for many years after.
