Why the Atomic Bombing Was Justified
In this argument there are many reasons why the dropping of the atomic bombs was justified. One of the major reasons that it is thought to be a justified action is because of how the Japanese ambushed the U.S. at Pearl Harbor. They caused severe damage to our territory and the U.S. sustained many casualties in the hopes that Japan could control the whole South Pacific region. In response to the attack on America, the U.S. thought it was justified to bomb Japan and cause severe damage. Aside from retaliation, the U.S thought they could drop the bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki so they could end the war abruptly and save many Allied lives and money that would have been used to make war materials. Lastly, the bombings were justified because the United States had warned Japan to surrender or threatened that something terrible would happen if they didn't.
